《天鵝之歌》靈感來自於比利時作家羅登巴赫1892年出版的著名小說【布魯日，死城】，描寫一個失魂落魄的鰥夫來到布魯日哀悼死去的妻子，卻瘋狂迷戀上一位酷似亡妻的年輕舞者。這部充滿戲劇性的小說是許多藝術家靈感來源，包括作曲家康果爾德的歌劇《死亡之城》；以及電影大師希區考特的《迷魂記》。由旅德編舞家林美虹依據這本小說所創作的舞作《天鵝之歌》，對於主人翁被過去制約但抗拒現在、持續否定自我但狂妄獨斷、以及追求純淨但放縱慾望間不停搖擺掙扎的個性，有深刻且多層次的表現，獲得德國藝評家及觀眾高度推崇。

宜蘭生長、於德國發光的林美虹，留學義大利羅馬國家舞蹈院後，至德國福克旺學院事師名編舞家碧娜．鮑許，跨文化學習成就她日後多元的創作風格，2005年起擔任德國達姆國家劇院舞蹈藝術總監至今。

Choreographer LIN Mei-Hong and Tanztheater des Staatstheaters Darmstadt of Germany bring their latest works Schwanengesang(Swan Song). Inspired by the Belgian poet George Rodenbach and his symbolist novel Bruges-la-Morte, this dance piece probes into the mind of a distressed widower. Shortly after his wife’s death, Hugo Viane relocates to the ancient, pious city of Bruges, where mist and rain color the channel in a constant shade of grey. In surroundings that reflect his innermost soul, Hugo hopes to sustain his grief and intensify the memories of his deceased wife. He spends his time wandering about the mists of the city, contemplating death and embracing his melancholic state of mind. Then, a chance encounter with a woman bearing a striking resemblance to his wife turns Hugo's fantasies into mad obsession. This critically acclaimed production by LIN Mei Hong explores the hypersensitive human being, inner demons and the power of loving memory.
